Assam is a lowland Indian tea with a large, tannin-rich leaf. The infusion is dark, malty and full; the classic base for tea with milk.

TGFOP is a whole-leaf grade with a noticeable proportion of golden tips.

A single-origin tea: no flavourings, no additives — just the leaf.

The raw material is certified organic: grown without synthetic pesticides or mineral fertilisers, with a documented supply chain from plantation to warehouse.

Black tea contains a noticeable amount of caffeine — it is a morning and daytime drink.

Preparation: 12–15 g per litre, 3–5 minutes, water at 100 °C. Fully oxidised leaf needs boiling water: only then does the body of the infusion develop. Steeping beyond five minutes adds an astringent dryness.

The quantities given are averages. Soft water calls for slightly more tea, hard water slightly less.

Suitable both for the retail shelf and for a venue’s tea list: a recognisable profile, a predictable result in the cup, consistent quality from batch to batch.

Storage: in a tightly sealed opaque container, away from light, moisture and strong odours. Tea readily absorbs foreign aromas, so it should not be kept next to spices or coffee.

Packaging: sold loose, the price is given per 100 g. Alveus supplier code — 82753.

The supplier is Alveus (Germany), one of Europe’s largest tea houses. Packing and dispatch from the Verdamare warehouse.
