Ceylon OP Venture ORGANIC
Ceylon OP Venture ORGANIC — black tea by Alveus. Organic raw material. Price per 100 g.
Ceylon is a tea from Sri Lanka, recognisable by its light coppery infusion and citrus liveliness. A versatile base: good on its own, with lemon, and over ice.
OP (Orange Pekoe) is a whole-leaf grade without tips.
A single-origin tea: no flavourings, no additives — just the leaf.
The raw material is certified organic: grown without synthetic pesticides or mineral fertilisers, with a documented supply chain from plantation to warehouse.
Black tea contains a noticeable amount of caffeine — it is a morning and daytime drink.
Preparation: 12–15 g per litre, 3–5 minutes, water at 100 °C. Fully oxidised leaf needs boiling water: only then does the body of the infusion develop. Steeping beyond five minutes adds an astringent dryness.
The proportions are a starting point, not a rule: adjust them by up to 20 % to suit your water and your taste.
Suitable both for the retail shelf and for a venue’s tea list: a recognisable profile, a predictable result in the cup, consistent quality from batch to batch.
Storage: in a tightly sealed opaque container, away from light, moisture and strong odours. Tea readily absorbs foreign aromas, so it should not be kept next to spices or coffee.
Packaging: sold loose, the price is given per 100 g. Alveus supplier code — 82750.
The supplier is Alveus (Germany), one of Europe’s largest tea houses. Packing and dispatch from the Verdamare warehouse.
